KITCHEN ASSISTANT FULL TIME/SEASONAL
ROLE INFORMATION
Mica Heliskiing offers boutique helicopter skiing packages from our remote backcountry setting 150 kms north of Revelstoke, B.C.
We are embarking on renovations and upgrades to our facilities to be completed in time for the start of our 2024/25 winter heliski season. We are seeking some hard-working, fun-loving people to join a small kitchen team and support the construction project.
Previous kitchen or hospitality experience is preferred but we are willing to train the right candidate. This is an excellent entry level kitchen position for someone eager to work in a unique and breathtaking backcountry setting.
The kitchen assistant position is full-time/seasonal and supports the food service program.- Position reports to: Lead Chef
- Work Term: April 15, 2024 -October 31, 2024
- Work Schedule: ~10 days on / ~10 days off
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Complete daily prep-work or general kitchen related tasks as assigned.
- Sweep and mop dry storage area on a scheduled basis.
- Assist with regular kitchen cleaning as directed by the Chef.
- Wash all dishes and help prep for dinner service as requested.
- Wash all dinner service dishes and complete clean up of dish pit area, stainless steel surfaces, drain and clean dishwasher and put dishes away.
- Work with kitchen team to ensure any issues are addressed.
GENERAL
- Work with all staff to execute the highest level of guest service.
- Participate in staff training and scheduled departmental orientation sessions.
- Participate in regular lodge staff meetings while on shift at lodge.
- Ensure good relations are maintained with construction team on site.
REMUNERATION
- Competitive day rate
- Free transportation to and from Revelstoke, BC
- All meals and single room accommodation, with ensuite, while on shift at the Lodge

WORK LOCATION
Mica Lodge is located 160km north of Revelstoke, across Kinbasket Lake, and accessible only via barge, jet boat or helicopter.
