PASTRY CHEF
JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a full-time/seasonal Pastry Chef to join our Culinary Team.
This role ensures the food service program is consistently executed in accordance with expected standards for quality, presentation, creativity and timeliness. The focus will be, but not limited to, bread, desserts, and dinner service first course.
This person is expected to have a strong background in the food & beverage industry, with a focus on pastry & bread, and be comfortable in a dynamic kitchen workplace.
- Position reports to: Executive Chef
- Work Term: December 2025 - April 2026
FOOD SERVICE PROGRAM
- Plan and prepare the bread course, first course and plated dessert for each evening’s dinner service
- Plan and prepare all baked goods, tea goodies and sweets for buffet and lunch program
- Work with Chef on menu planning and assist with prep of dinner ingredients and plating 3 course dinner service
- Work with Chef to keep a clean working environment, assist with organizing food storage areas, and maintain inventory/par levels
- Manage leftovers effectively
- Maintain par levels for staff fridge to include sufficient proteins and produce
- Be diligent in maintaining a safe and hygienic working environment in accordance with industry standards, established company practices and current health guidelines
- Assist with the receiving and storage/organization of food and supplies to the lodge
GENERAL
- Participate in daily morning meetings with all lodge staff
- Participate in staff training and scheduled departmental orientation sessions
- Ensure good relations with guests, staff, and company contacts
- Make recommendations on kitchen supplies and program improvements if applicable
