BARTENDER / LODGE SERVICES

  FULL TIME/SEASONAL

 

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a full-time/seasonal Hospitality member to join our Lodge Service Team for the 2024/25 season.

Primary responsibilities are to implement the food and beverage program at the lodge including bar, apres-ski and dinner service, work with all Mica staff to ensure guests receive a consistent and exceptional level of service and maintain the highest level of cleanliness around the lodge to ensure the safety of our guests and staff.

This person is expected to have a strong background in food and beverage services, be comfortable performing housekeeping duties, and be enthusiastic engaging Mica guests.

  • Position reports to: Lodge Manager
  • Work Term: December 2024 - April 2025

FOOD & BEVERAGE SERVICES

  • Establish and maintain bar environment.
  • Set-up apres-ski alcoholic beverages, serve and monitor apres-ski buffet, clear dishes and provide beverage service throughout lodge.
  • Serve transfer day lunch to guests.
  • Maintain a clean bar area and coordinate closing every evening.
  • Inventory bar stock and coordinate transfer day orders through Lodge Manager.
  • Maintain guest tabs on daily basis.
  • Coordinate dinner service set-up and timing with Lodge Manager.
  • Execute dinner and wine service each evening.

HOSPITALITY SERVICES

  • Daily cleaning of dining room, fireplace, lounge area, change rooms and bar.
  • Daily removal of recycling from bar.
  • Ensure guest change rooms, gym and hot tub area are clean at the end of each evening/bar closure.
  • Assist with inbound guest orientations and general transfer day guest services as determined by Lodge Manager.Assist with radio coverage as needed during the day.

  • Be diligent in maintaining a safe and hygienic working environment in accordance with industry standards, established company practices and current health guidelines.

GENERAL

  • Participate in daily morning meetings with all lodge staff.
  • Participate in staff training and scheduled departmental orientation sessions.
  • Ensure good relations with guests, staff, and company contacts.
  • Make recommendations on products and pricing for beverage services
