JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a full-time/seasonal Guest Experience Host to join our Lodge Team for the 2026/27 season.

This role is responsible for delivering a seamless, exceptional guest experience for Mica’s Private Program guests. Acting as the primary point of contact, the Guest Experience Host ensures that every detail of the stay is personalized, polished, and comfortable. The role combines concierge-style service with hands-on support for the Private Lodge upkeep and evening hospitality, contributing to the overall excellence of lodge operations. 

This person is expected to have a strong background in hospitality and be comfortable performing housekeeping duties.

  • Reports To: Lodge Manager
  • Work Term: December 2026 – April 2027

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Providing attentive, intuitive, and personalized service to guests throughout their stay.
  • Through clear communication with the kitchen team, coordinate and manage guest dietary requirements while delivering a timely, polished dinner service in collaboration with the Lodge Manager and Bartender.
  • Maintaining the cleanliness, readiness, and presentation of Private Lodge rooms and common areas in collaboration with the Housekeeping team.
  • Delivering thoughtful, attentive high-level service to Private Program guests throughout their stay, with a focus on comfort, consistency and attention to detail.
  • Acting as a bridge between departments to ensure guest needs are communicated and met, enhancing the overall guest experience.
  • Upholding Mica's service standards, health and safety protocols, and brand values in every interaction.
  • Supporting lodge manager in the smooth transfer day operations and daily guest transitions, including arrivals, orientations, and special requests.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

As a key member of the lodge operations team, the Guest Experience Host works closely with the Lodge Manager, Housekeeping, Kitchen, and Bar teams as well as the town based Guest Service team, to ensure a seamless and memorable experience for all guests. This role requires a proactive, solutions-oriented approach, strong communication skills, and a willingness to support wherever needed to maintain operational excellence.

  • Collaborate daily with the Lodge Manager and Housekeeping team to ensure smooth, efficient Private Lodge operations.
  • Work closely with the main office-based Guest Services team throughout the stay to ensure guests needs and special requests are met.
  • Assist with lodge orientations for incoming new Private Program guests on transfer days.
  • Participate in daily morning lodge team meetings to review guest details, service priorities, and cross-departmental updates.
  • Engage in all required staff training sessions and departmental orientations to stay aligned with Mica's service standards, safety practices, and operational procedures.
  • Maintain professional and respectful relationships with guests, teammates, and external partners, contributing to a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Identify and communicate opportunities to improve guest service, streamline processes, or enhance efficiency within the Private Guest Lodge and broader lodge operations.
  • Uphold Mica's values of hospitality, safety, teamwork, and excellence in all aspects of the role.

DINING SERVICE

  • Supports the lodge manager and bartender with dinner service, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring timely, efficient and professional execution.
