KITCHEN ASSISTANT

 

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a full-time/seasonal Kitchen Assistant to join our Lodge Team for the 24/25 season. This role's primary responsibility is to support the kitchen team with assigned tasks relating to the food & beverage program. This person will maintain a clean working environment in the kitchen and the rest of the lodge, ensuring the safety of our guests and staff, and will work to ensure guests receive a consistent, exceptional level of service.

  • Position reports to: Executive Chef
  • Work Term: December 2025 - April 2026

KITCHEN SUPPORT

  • Complete daily prep-work or general kitchen related tasks as assigned
  • Sweep and mop dry storage area on a scheduled basis
  • Assist with regular kitchen cleaning as directed by the Chef
  • Clean up après-ski dishes prior to dinner service
  • Wash all dishes and help prep for dinner service
  • Wash all dinner service dishes, complete clean of dish pit area, stainless steel surfaces, drain and clean dishwasher, and put dishes away
  • Sweep and mop kitchen floor nightly

 

GARBAGE/RECYCLING

  • Regularly transport all burnables, recycling, garbage and compost to the sorting/disposal area via snowmobile
  • Organize and maintain the recycling program (refundable and non-refundable items)
  • Work with Ski Technicians to ensure firewood supplies in main lodge and chalet are adequately stocked

GENERAL

  • Participate in daily morning meetings with all lodge staff
  • Participate in staff training and scheduled departmental orientation sessions
  • Ensure good relations with guests, staff, and company contacts
