KITCHEN ASSISTANT
JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a full-time/seasonal Kitchen Assistant to join our Lodge Team for the 2026/27 season. This role's primary responsibility is to support the kitchen team with assigned tasks relating to the food & beverage program. This person will contribute in maintaining the highest level of cleanliness in the kitchen and dry storage to ensure the safety and comfort of all guests and staff. In addition, they will work with all Mica staff to ensure guests receive a consistent, exceptional level of service.
- Position reports to: Executive Chef
- Work Term: December 2026 - April 2027
KITCHEN SUPPORT
- Complete daily prep-work or general kitchen related tasks as assigned
- Wash dishes throughout the operational day as required and maintain cleanliness of the dish washing area
- Sweep and mop dry storage area on a scheduled basis
- Assist with kitchen cleaning tasks as directed by the Chef
GARBAGE/RECYCLING
- Regularly transport all burnables, recycling, garbage and compost to the sorting/disposal area via snowmobile
- Organize and maintain the recycling program (refundable and non-refundable items)
- Work with Ski Technicians to ensure firewood supplies in main lodge and chalet are adequately stocked at all times
GENERAL
- Participate in daily morning meetings with all lodge staff
- Participate in staff training and scheduled departmental orientation sessions
- Ensure good relations with guests, staff, and company contacts
