At Mica we pride ourselves in tailoring our program to the requests of our guests. And in response to several groups last season requesting the ability
to share their Mica experience with a few more of their friends, we’ve introduced the option to ski as four individual groups of four skiers plus their guide.
When compared to the Three of Four Semi Private, this new package offers a slightly slower pace with a few moments to relax and enjoy the
surroundings before the next run. With 16 guests, the helicopter costs are shared between more skiers. And we are able to return these savings to you.
Groups choosing to bring a fourth group in 2008 will receive a lodge voucher they can put towards extra vertical, massage, bar bills or retail items.
Depending on the length of the trip, that could mean 8500 meters (28,000 feet) of free vertical!

Terrain: Bottom line, Mica Heliskiing’s vast terrain is both beautiful and unique! With seemingly endless terrain to explore, we have dramatic
Rocky Mountain Peaks, giant alpine bowls, several runs of up to 1500 meters (5000 feet), endless steep tree skiing and world class ‘pillow’ runs.
From intermediate to expert, we have the terrain for you and will gladly take you there. The mountains of the interior of British Columbia are where
heli skiing was invented. Today it is heli ski alley with more heli skiers each winter than everywhere else on earth combined. The reason…deep dry snow!
Snow: Mica’s location on the western slope of the BC Rockies is a powder making machine. Receiving 13 – 20 meters (42 – 66 feet) of snowfall annually,
Mica Heliskiing is located where the moist air from the west collides with the cold Arctic air from northern Alberta. The result
is high quality powder snow from November through April.
The Skiing and Boarding: At Mica we’re about skiing and boarding! It goes without saying that the food is excellent, the beds are comfortable and
the hot tub is hot. But bottom line we’re about the skiing and boarding! We pride ourselves in providing as much quality skiing and boarding as
our guests and mother nature will allow!
And with first class terrain less than a two minute flight from our lodge, it’s historically rare for us to have weather related down days.
This is primarily due to our location and the relatively high elevation of Mica Lodge which typically puts us above the potential low cloud
and freezing rain that can occur during the winter months.
Snow Cat Skiing: NEW for the 2008 season!! We’ve purchased a Piston Bully snow cat with a twelve person ‘crummy’ for the few times each
season when the weather is better for skiing than it is for flying a helicopter. Combined with an extensive glading program this past summer,
we are now able to access 1000 meters (3300 feet) of ski terrain directly above the lodge for a few runs of snow cat skiing.
Lodging: Accessible only by helicopter the beautiful Mica lodge and new deluxe chalet are perched at 1200 meters (4000 feet) over looking the
Monashee, Selkirk and Rocky mountains. Our private lodges have one of the most spectacular views you’ll find anywhere. Mica lodge has 7 bedrooms
with full baths and sleeps up to 12 guests. The new chalet has 4 extra large deluxe rooms each with its own fireplace (double or single occupancy).
Our backcountry lodges have all the luxuries: heated stone floors, river stone fireplace, hot tubs, massage, telephone, wireless internet,
satellite TV and a chef preparing fabulous meals.
Bottom Line: Heli Skiing or Boarding in small private groups, skiing the terrain you desire with minimal down days and staying in your own
private lodge makes for the ultimate skiing or boarding experience.
