Getting Here
Guests of Mica Heliskiing arrive in either Kelowna, British Columbia, our closest international airport, servicing several major airlines (WestJet, Air Canada and Horizon Air) or Calgary, Alberta.

Air Canada - New rules for Skis and Snowboards
It should be noted that if travelling with Air Canada, new rules for passengers travelling with skis or snowboarsds have come into effect as of January 7, 2008. Air Canada customers will be asked to register their ski/snowboard equipment at the time of booking either on aircanada.com or through the Air Canada call center. By registering prior to check-in, customers will not be required to pay an excess baggage fee or the oversize fee for skis and snowboards. Details are available at: aircanada.com

VIA Kelowna
Mica Heliskiing includes the transfer to and from Kelowna, British Columbia. While in Kelowna we recommend you stay at the Holiday Inn Express located 9 km south of the Kelowna International Airport on Highway 97 (http://www.kelownabc.hiexpress.com/ 800.465.0200).

Make sure to mention you are a Mica Heliskiing guest to receive our preferred rate or ask the Mica Heliskiing reservation staff to make your booking for you.

VIA Calgary
Some guests may choose to fly into Calgary and rent a car to get to and from Revelstoke. Revelstoke is located in the heart of 'snow country'! While this makes for great heliskiing, the winter driving conditions from Calgary can be challenging at times. Please allow 5-6 hours to drive from Calgary to Revelstoke via the Trans Canada Highway. This route takes you through two mountain passes which are occasionally closed during winter storms. For up to date road conditions visit http://www.drivebc.ca (British Columbia) and http://www.drive-west.com (Alberta).

Driving Directions From Calgary - (6 hours in good conditions)

Map of Calgary

1. Exit the Airport, turn left (north) onto Barlow Trail NE.

2. In approximately 1.5 km, turn left (west) onto Country Hills Blvd. NE.

4. Continue south until the intersection with Hwy 1 (Trans Canada Highway). Turn right (west) on the Trans Canada to Revelstoke, B.C. (a distance of approximately 410 kilometers or 255 miles).

Turn right onto Fourth Street, cross over the tracks and keep right onto Victoria Road. Turn left at the grizzly bears (stop sign) onto MacKenzie Avenue to get to our office (207 MacKenzie Ave) OR go through the stop sign, drive five (5) blocks and turn left onto Gardner Avenue to get to the Revelstoke Lodge at the corner of First Street.

Air Transfers
Air transfers are available via helicopter from Calgary, Kelowna, Fernie, Golden, Valemont and Cranbrook. Please contact our office for a quote. Powder Air offers regularly scheduled flights every Saturday from Calgary and Valemount to Revelstoke and return. Contact Powder Air directly at 1.877.837.2242 by email at flights@powderair.com or visit their website at www.powderair.com.

While in Revelstoke
However you choose to get to Revelstoke, Mica Heliskiing strongly advises that you arrive the night prior to your transfer to Mica Lodge to avoid possible delays. Mica Heliskiing will not be responsible for late arrivals. For your accommodation needs while in Revelstoke, we recommend the Revelstoke Lodge (http://www.revelstokelodge.com/250.837.2181) conveniently located at First Street and Gardner Avenue, just three blocks from our office. Be sure to mention you are a Mica Heliskiing guest when making your reservation to receive our preferred rate or ask the Mica Heliskiing reservation staff to make your booking for you.

Late Arrival Fees
It is the responsibility of the guests to ensure that they are at their prearranged pickup location in Kelowna or arrive at the Mica Heliskiing office in Revelstoke on time the first day of their tour. Due to the remote location of our lodge, facilitating late arrivals is very difficult and expensive. Every effort will be made to accommodate late arrivals by ground and helicopter transfer from Revelstoke to Mica Lodge.
