There are lots of different kinds of snow, and just as many weather patterns to create them. That means that just because it's been snowing at your favorite ski area, it doesn't mean that you've got spectacular blower pow. However, when the snow that is falling is filled with big fluffy white flakes, then you can indeed count on some sweet powder.

That's the kind of snow that has been falling here at Mica Heli Guides over the weekend and yesterday, meaning this week is going to be sweet. We're used to some pretty nice powder days here at Mica. Our tenure is located just a little bit north of Revelstoke, British Columbia, and our 72,000 hectare tenure tends to be a bit of a powder magnet. Thanks to the orientation of our main valleys, and the microclimate around here, we routinely get some of the deepest driest powder of anyone in Canada.

When that happens, it's time to go heliskiing. Our heliski tours are exclusively small group affairs, meaning you get more time on the slopes, and at most a 4:1 guest-guide ratio. By only offering small group tours, we're able to concentrate on offering you the best heli skiing experience. You don't have to cram into the helicopter with a bunch of strangers, and you don't have to wait around for people you don't know. Instead, everything is up to you and your friends or family. Because it's just you, you also get the chance to customize the types of terrain you ski or snowboard.

Small group tours is just one of the many ways that we here at Mica have developed such a renowned heli ski operation. Ask anyone that's ever been skiing with us, and we're sure you'll see a smile on their face as they tell you about the great time they had with us. Come see for yourself and book a tour today, we still have some openings left for the season.
