We've passed yet another important date on the calendar as we march towards a new season of shredding the slopes. Namely the last resort in the Southern Hemisphere, Turoa Ski Area on Mt. Ruapheu in New Zealand closed its doors for the season this past Sunday. As the last ski resort open in the Southern Hemisphere, their closure means we here in the Northern Hemisphere are one step closer to that beautiful opening day. If we're lucky, we'll have the same spectacular conditions Turoa did on closing day, blue skies and 6cm of fresh. Many resorts in the Northern Hemisphere have already gotten their start thanks to early season dumps courtesy of La Niña. In less than a month's time everyone, including us here at Mica Heli will be open and carving the latest tracks of the new season. Helicopter skiing Canada.

Among all the different resorts and backcountry tour operators, you have an amazing selection of where to make your ski vacation for this year. For a uniquely special vacation, however, we humbly submit our more than 177,000 acre tenure. Offering up spectacular terrain with breathe-taking views and jaw-dropping features, our tenure is like no other out there. Even better is the incredible snowpack that covers it with incredible consistency every season. We average between 300cm and 500cm of base snow during a normal season, and with La Niña here this year, it'll only be better.

Professionals and powder enthusiasts alike always proclaim our tenure some of the biggest and deepest they've ever skied, and with good reason. Since opening in 2003, we've continually set the standard for luxury heli ski and heli boarding vacations. Heliskiing in B.C., Canada is some of the best in the world, and we're proud to further the tradition. Our tours for this season are already filling up, so if you're ready to conquer some amazing backcountry, book with us today.
